Good game but i think weather was a factor. Too bad it rained the whole time.  Now no one has to worry about the undefeated curse. Good luck and maybe we will see you in the Finals. If we both can make it.

Was Brant missing some key players, or was Woodlawn just hitting that damn well? Just curious...

Top 8th.

Game stopped due to darkness and slick conditions. Wacky game, OP was up 16-2 at one point in the 3rd. They were hitting everything, and hitting very well. Then it kind of flip flopped later in the game. Down 7 going into the bottom of the 7th NC had solo HRs from Aron Ayers and Chris Bley, (his 2nd of the game) and then a 3 run homer over the LF fence, a clutch HR with 2 outs by Cory Lawton. Then down 1 with 2 outs, I hit a solo dinger to tie the game and force extras.

Not sure where or when we'll pick this game up yet though. I know it was top 8, 0 outs and the OP lead off guy on 3rd base.

Good game (so far) to OP. See ya again soon.

What I don't understand, is if the Ump know that he was going to stop the game, why did he let us start the 8th? With me at 3rd, and Chris at 1st, and a good hitter at the plate. 3 batters and stop? I don't get it.
But ne wayz, so far it's been a great game!! Great burgers too!

OP @ Woodlawn makeup game from week 1
Tied 9-9 going into 7th
OP trys to send Andy from 1st to home on a double and gets tagged at the plate on a close call, this gave Woodlawn the momentum, a couple of well placed bunts, and a single beats Aaron on 3rd, single run scores ending the game.

Final Woodlawn - 10
OP - 9

good game by both teams, and lots of excellent food afterwards.

Whats more funny is when he slid into home, he was about 8" short. I thought he was going to crawl the rest of the way. As far as I can remember, this is the 1st time we played the entire game against Woodlawn!
Great game on both benches!!

One thing good about that game besides the score was Ernie struck out 4 OP batters in a row. And yes one of them was a girl. Sorry Joanna

Lake Shore 19 Lake View 4

On a chill rainy thrusday night Lake Shore beat Lake View to win the battle of the Lake. Rob Wahl went deep for Lake Shore as they broke open a 4-1 game in the 3rd and 4th inning. Chet pitched well Striking out 8 batters. I went 3 for 3 with 3 rbis and a triple.

A little more of an update on the lake shore lakeview  game. First of all Rob did jack one out but it was only due to the fact he had his pink Giambi thong on. had to bust out of the slump before the rematch with Ernie. But most importantly Mark Hielig thought the calender said 1988 not 2008. Mark took wicka deep 3 times. Don't tell lakeview we spray painted a red dot ball yellow for marks at bats.  Big rematch tonight. can't wait.

Pat, ask Ernie to bring some freedom fest passes tonight.

A little more info on the Lake shore / lakeview game. While Rob did jack one out on john wicka, It only happened because of the pink Giambi thong. he had to bust out of the slump before his big rematch with Ernie tonight. The real story was that mark hielig turned the calaender back to say 1988. Mark took john deep 3 times at the place we love to call the launch pad. ( dont tell lakeview we spray painted some red dots yellow for his at bats).
Lake view has some good young kids and some grizzeled veterns (no Gene wasn't there) the future looks bright.

Toby If you play N.C. again pick it up with the men on base same situation. Call me and let me know when it will be so I can let the umpire chief know.
