Highland and North Collins went to it on a hot Thursday in Farm country. It wasnt really a hard fought game, North collins had some guys that were really hitting. Highland did the best we could to keep the nc runs down. Our just before the game back up pitcher, Walker the Derby Pharmacist, threw a great game with only 3 walks( not to bad for never pitching before). All in all a great game, The burgers and the beers topped it all off. Thanks NC , have a great season.
Orchard Park made the trip out to Farnham this week. With a game that was one not to be missed. It was almost like a Silver Division game replay. Farnham came out and shut down OP allowing only 1 run for the first 4 innings. OP's defense was becoming a thing of the past allowing 10 runs in the first 4 innings. Down by 9 OP pulled together and battled back with some great hitting in the 7th, coming out with an amazing 14 run inning. It was at this time that the ump realized the street lights were on and wanted to call the game, basing the score of the 5th, as the score of the final. Farnham, being great ball players, elected to decline, and play the game. OP ahead by 5, Farnham with last ups. OP played solid defense in the bottom of the 7th to shut down Farnham 3 up.... 3 down to end the game! FINAL: OP 24 Farnham 19 Great game all around by both teams! Good luck Farnham in the rest of the season!

Brant and Winchester had another classic battle, with Brant coming out on top 18-17. Brant started strong with 7 in the first, but was answered with 5 from Winchester. The game was back in forth all game. Winchester scored 3 in the bottom of the 6th to pull within one, but oculd not get it any closer. They had the bases loaded with 1 out, but could not push the tying run across the plate, as Vince Fininzio pitched his way out of the jam. Brant was led by Joe Hill(2 HR's and 4 RBI), Tater Hill (3/4 3 RBI's), and Tom Whelan(3/5 2 RBI's). Winchester was led by Mike McGowan(4/5 HR) and Jack Maroney (3/3 3 RBI's).
Big Tree lost another one to Union in a close game. union pulled away in the first inning and never looked back but we gave them a scare with a comeback in the 6th but pitching killed us in the end..walk after walk after walk...eddie sprained his ankle so we had guys rolling balls in and throwing meatballs
Scranton beat Reserve for their second win in a row. Scranton played the best defense they've played in years. Great pitching by Mike B. and great outfielding work by Whitey and Ringer. Solid hitting once again by Freddie Jr, Pelksui, Mike L., Gooch, Lochness and Sniff.
