Brant 15 Lake Shore 14

Brant defeated Lake Shore in a close one 15-14. Brant jumped out to a 11-1 lead, when the fire whistle went off. The LS guys went to the call and stopped by the batting cages on the way back. They scored 6 runs in the 6th and had 5 across in the in the 7th, with one out and a man on 1st. Tom Whelan then ended the game with a great play to turn the double play that ended the game. We will not be discussing the 5K's Chet had or who he may have struck out twice......

Alright I guess so!! It was cold to start with and Op came out swinging grabbing a quick 4 runs in the first inning. When Highland got to the bats they werent working. The first five or six batters in the first two innings flew out. No score again till I belive it was the fifth inning Highland finally got the bats going and scored a few runs. A few more for both in the sixth leaving it 9-7 highland. Op came back in the top of seven and got one more run. No need for the bottom of the inning. 9-8 final Highland. Although Op couldnt stay for the building of the "BEERYMID" we had a good time anyway. Hey Chris , how was the pizza????

I ate too many hot dogs, so the kids got pizza all to themselves, good for a couple slices at lunch today though :)

Scranton 0

North Collins 7

Via forfeit today. After I spent 4 hours getting the field ready from the rain, we found out at 6:15pm we weren't going to play. I don't blame the Scranton manager because apparently everyone told him at the last game, and even around 4pm they'd be there, atleast he had the courtesy to show up and tell us.

Was the make up date we agreed on, and couldn't do it another day, so North Collins jumps to 2-0. Atleast we got a good full team practice in. It'll now be exactly 3 weeks in between our first and second game, haha.
