Well that sucks !! Did they give a reason for leaving? Those teams have been here for a long time, I hope they re-think this move and stay where they belong.
Kitty...how many teams are in the Cheektowaga League? They didnt have any interest in consolidating? Did we ever hear back from Boston or the other teams interested?
The Cheektowaga League is comprised of Bellevue, Forks, Southline, Doyle, Depew, UCrest, Pinehill, Cleveland Hill, Sloan, Hyview. If I missed any sorry about that, im sure the fact that the league was not sympathetic to the wedding situation helped make the Cheektowaga League bigger.
Sounds like those teams that quit are league are nothing but a bunch of babies....we took them in this league when their league folded...now they leave our league in with only 10 or so teams....glad they could finally show their true colors!
It was fun kicking your a!!!!!! for the last fifteen years. Thanks for the invite.
so a guy who no longer plays for a team that is no longer in the league is checking in....maybe we can get some guys from Armor, Newton Abbott, or Blasdell to check in too
All I can ask is....What would our league founders have done with this issue???? I can see NADO and the rest of them turning over in their graves...... Lets not forget why all of us play in this league. Once one looses sight off this the league will fold. Yes we all want to win the big prize but what is more important? Times have changed. In my 23 years of playing in this league I have seen many changes. Lets look back to the way things were and maybe we can learn from the past???? When I served as a director we were faced with very difficult issues. And that is what they were ISSUES not people or fire companies. Decisions are made and we have to live with them. It's time we move on and learn from "the past".
After playing for fifteen years in this league when i left it was pretty much the only thing that i missed and still miss. This league built alot of friendships over the years After all we all lived for thursday in brants case tuesdays. It is still just a beer drinking softball league and no one should lose sight of the friendships that were built.
if you guys really felt that way why did you take your ball to another league. It's nice that you guys are checking in to see how the big league is doing. Good luck and maybe someday you can play your way back to the big league.
