THE BOYS FROM HIGHLAND ARE HEADED TO BIG TREE!!! IF IM CORRECT NEITHER TEAM HAS A WIN, LOOKS LIKE ONE OF THESE TEAMS WILL FINALLY GET A WIN!!!! SHOULD BE A GOOD ONE !!!
Lake shore is well rested from there bye week trip to thursday in the square. I must be getting old but way to many people down there for me. Looking forward to the up coming battle with the velcro boys. Dont mean to insult everyone on your team but I beleive the saying goes if one wears velcro it is a reflection on your whole team. See ya guys in a few hours
J16A... the BB is long gone.... the lark can't get out of the hole fast enough to beat the throw. Have to rely on the 50/50 bat and hope I hit one out of the infield to get a stand up single!!!!! Looking forward to a cold one with you tonight. You in your wheel chair and me in my lark, oh how old age creeps up and slows ya down....
Well another heart breaker in Brant. We must pay homage to the velcro!!!! Brant 6 Lake shore 5 in 9 full innings. Back in forth game. Lots of fun, Good beers afterwards. As far as the mustaches goes the better looking one lost
They are real..... The velcro KING was spotted.... Rumor has it the next shipment is due in by super saturday..... get yours fast before they are gone.. Tater claims they are a chick magnet!!
Brant beat lake Shore 6-5 in 9 innings on Wed Night. Not too many hits to talk about as almost all of the runs were scored in the first 2 innings. Lake Shore took a one run lead into the 7th, but was answered by Brant with one of their own in the bottom of the inning. The pitchers held the bats in check until the bottom of the 9th, when Tony Puntillo tripled and was driven in for the winning run. Hats off to Wayne and Chet on both throwing great games.
Velcroman you are too modest, you failed to say it was Tater Hill who drove in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth....Boozer what time does that shipment come in, if they are truly chick magnets I want to get there early.
listen magoo the 70's are long gone so put your bandana back in your pocket take the chain off your wallet turn your bike around and come back to reality.................
big tree lost to highland im told 22-6 i wasnt at the game so im not sure but i heard dan bozek who pitched for the first time in his life against brant pitched this game again...it would be nice if all our pitchers werent injured
Reserve beats Woodlawn 11-9. Woodlawn got on the board first leading 3-0 after two innings. In the third Reserve scored 8 runs with about 5 timely chinkers (all base hits in the book) to go up 8-3 and ad one in the fourth. Down 9-3 in the fifth Woodlawn comes back with 6 runs to make it 10-9, but they couldn't shake off the rust after a two week lay-off and fall 11-9. The Goose came in after the fifth with a fine relief job for Reserve. Vinnie Puppo and Mike Weller had home-runs in a losing effort, with Wellers going about 400 feet into the wind. Good News for Woodlawn, the undefeated jinx is off our mind for this years play-off run. Additional note: shortstop for Reserve played well and young Chad Linder had an unbelievable catch for Woodlawn to save what would have been a three run homer.
North Collins beat Winchester by 1 in walk off fashion.
After a amazing effort by both veterans pitchers, Beaver and Earl, I believe thats your name, sorry if its not, haha. I know hes not their normal pitcher, and Winchester only had 9 guys, so they didnt have much of a choice of where to put certain people.
After being up 1 in the top of the 7th, Winchester put up 3 runs in the top of the 7th to take the lead by one. After clutch hits by Frank Montaldi, then newbie Jeremy Zymowski, to get on base, Zymowskis was with 2 outs, game on the line too. I got up to bat, and knocked a base hit to bring in our pinch runner from 2nd to tie the game.
Up comes "Old Man Boozer", walker and all, hits a tough deep fly ball to left that got away from the Winchester lefter fielder, and scored our winner run from 2nd to take the game.
It was a great game by both teams, back and forther all night, real fun game to play in, and an amazing job by both picthers, with Winchesters vet pitcher picking up 3 Ks.
Good luck to Winchester the rest of the season!
