WOODLAWN 8
LAKESHORE  0

Woodlawn took advantage of lakeshore's poor defense with 6 runs in the 1st inning. Home runs by Vinnie and Weller sparked Woodlawn.  Woodlawns defense was in mid season form allowing just one base runner to get to 3rd. Ernie pitched a great game for the win.  PS  The umpire did a great job!!smile

North Collins was beating O Park 13-9 in the 6th, then I left....... no wait, I should have left, I had 2 outs on them and then pitched 3 homers in a row to help them score 8 runs to finish us off, oh well, 1st game of the season.

Hats off to our crosstown rivals . we were never able to shake our first inning melt down. Ernie kept our boys guessing with that cheese ball change up. Hell he even got my first k since little league on a high outside Ball-ike. Kitty , still say it was a ball. Much better umping this week then last week though. but no shame in holding a powerful woodlawn line-up to 8 runs. Nice game chet

Yeah OP was doing well, just one bad inning. They got some guys that can hit, should be a competitive team all season long. I think the final ended up 22-9.

Homers by, yours truly, Chris Bley, and Aron Ayers.

Highland took the field against Farhnam this week. It was a tight first two innings. some errors for Highland gave Farnham a chance to use thier bats. Once they started they couldnt be stopped. It doesnt help that Highland couldnt get the bats going.
